➼ Gibson 2016 Les Paul Standard Plus – For Sale
This fine guitar is really, really something special. The Gibson folks in Nashville confirmed it is mahogany body with “modern” weight relief coming in at 9 lbs or 4.08 kg. The top is AAA figured maple and absolutely beautiful. The neck is mahogany, I thought maple which is my bad, with an asymmetrical ’60s slim taper. The fingerboard is compound radius rosewood with trapezoid inlays, very beautiful. The hardware is Tone Pro locking Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece with locking Grover tuners.
The pickups are Burst Bucker Prom 1 and 2. All four knobs are push/pull. The two volume knobs go from a humbucker sound to single coil Fender styled sound. One tone knob changes the Phase so you can sound like Peter Green and the other is a Pure Bypass so the bridge pickup goes straight to the cable and to your amp. Which is great for taking solos!
The plastics are cream coloured and you see the amber top hat knobs. I have four Les Pauls so I only really need two and although this is my best guitar it is also too heavy at 9 lbs as I am not a young man anymore so I am reluctantly selling it.
The price of this Gibson 2016 Les Paul Standard Plus is £2,100
