High Noon Hymns Out Now!

After a forced hiatus so drummer Greg Sowders could go back to his publishing work, so guitarist Stephen McCarthy could re-string his B-Bender Telecaster, and so Sid Griffin could try, try, try to finish off the two books he is working on we are proud, happy, and even ecstatic to announce the Long Ryders sixth full-length album is finally out!

High Noon Hymns was shipped to record stores worldwide on Friday March 13 and you can order your copy via this link.

As many of you know this is the third Long Ryders album since they reunited and the initial reviews are fantastic.

High Noon Hymns is Uncut magazine’s Americana Album of the Month and that is only one of the killer reviews we’ve seen…no doubt with more fine reviews to come.

High Noon Hymns Review

Our Fearless Leader describes the album as “two thirds the distilled alt-country genre we helped found back in the 1980s, one third Paisley Underground adventurism, with a dash of our own crazed soulfulness thrown in.”

That balance is evident throughout High Noon Hymns, where melodic immediacy meets lyrical depth across fourteen new songs. (Southern California music fans will enjoy noting the photographs were largely the work of the legendary Henry Diltz and the album cover art was by Geoff Gans, Bob Dylan’s artwork guru for the past twenty some years.)

And if you truly love the Long Ryders it gets better. Their first tour in support of High Noon Hymns starts in April 22 in Spain. Full Tour Dates for that tour AND the October UK tour on the Tour Dates page…
