Stagecoach Festival 2017 - The Long Ryders

The Long Ryders are very pleased to announce they will be performing at Stagecoach: California’s Country Music Festival at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California. The band will play on the final day of the three-day event, Sunday, April 30; this year’s headliners are Dierks Bentley, Shania Twain and Kenny Chesney.

Stagecoach tickets / passes go on sale this Friday, November 18 at 11:00am PST, available via the Festival website:

Stagecoach attendees will see the same classic Long Ryders’ line-up that recorded three highly acclaimed studio albums and toured extensively, including the recent dates: Sid Griffin (guitar, vocals), Stephen McCarthy (guitar, vocals), Greg Sowders (drums) and Tom Stevens (bass, vocals).

The band electrified longtime fans on their ‘Final Wild Songs 2016 Tour’ eliciting acclaimed reviews from all: “Another spine-tingling moment in a gig that had so many” (Craig Chaligne, Louder Than War) and “The band have lost nothing in terms of musical ability and passion, and if anything they’re playing better than ever” (Jonathon Kardash, Bristol 24/7 )

Final Wild Songs is the 4-CD, 76-song career retrospective of the pioneering Los Angeles alt-country act. Released January 22 by England’s Cherry Red Records, the box set features the original albums’ tracks as well as demos, singles, and rare live recordings, coupled with a 24-page booklet containing the band’s and David Fricke’s extensive liner notes.

Critics have raved about the box set ranging from Classic Rock (“truly glorious”) to Mojo (“this music sounds as good and as relevant now as it did three decades ago”), Shindig (“this is a crack shot collection”) to NPR’s All Things Considered (“a reminder how scorching their live show was”).

Additional Long Ryders live dates supporting Final Wild Songs are being finalized for Spring 2017.
